Pranat Kumar, MD

Dr. Kumar is a colon and rectal surgeon who has been taking care of patients in the Hudson Valley since 2012. He is board certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and by the American Board of Surgeons. He is a specialist surgeon in the management of cancers and polyps of the colon, rectum and anus. He also treats patients with Crohn_x2019_s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, benign anorectal diseases and common general surgery procedures. Dr. Kumar typically performs these procedures with the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System when appropriate. Dr. Kumar serves as an associate program director of the general surgery residency and is the program director for the Rectal Cancer Program at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He has been named a Top Doctor in Hudson Valley Magazine since 2016.
